FAQ

Greenfield Christian Church

VISITORS FAQ

  • Q: When is worship, and what does it look like?
  • A:  Worship is on Sundays at 8:30 am and 10:45 am.  Our worship is primarily traditional in style with some contemporary elements mixed in.  On any given Sunday you can expect to hear the Word proclaimed through the reading of scriptures, special music presentations by choir or soloists, organ, hymns, and biblically based sermons.    Communion is served weekly.  If you would like to view a pre-recorded sermon, please visit our MEDIA link.

  • Q:  What is available for children during Sunday morning worship?
  • A:  Nursery care and Bible classes (ages birth to 3 years) are available during both worship services and Sunday School.  During the 10:45 am service, we offer a children's sermon as part of the worship service, followed by children's worship (ages 4 to 2nd grade) and youth worship (ages 3rd to 5th grades).

  • Q:  What Bible classes are offered?
  • A:  Sunday School classes are available to all ages at 9:30 am each Sunday.  For children, curriculum consists of age appropriate materials, crafts, stories, and activities designed to be fun as well as educational.  Teens are invited to study the Bible in our Junior and Senior High classes.  Along with adult Sunday School classes, Bible or faith study groups are offered during the week.  For more information, check out our SUNDAY SCHOOL link.

  • Q:  What should I wear?
  • A:  The focus is not on what you wear.  We want you to be comfortable while you worship.  GCC worshippers wear anything from jeans to business casual to "Sunday best".  It's up to you!

  • Q:  What kind of church are you?
  • A:  Greenfield Christian Church is a part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  (Discover the Disciples by going here.)  As a mainstream church founded on American soil, worshippers from a variety of church backgrounds will find something familiar in worshipping with us.  We focus on our call to be the Body of Christ, to worship and serve God together.  We choose our own minister, own our own property, and determine our own programs and ministries.

  • Q:  Does worship accommodate the hearing impaired?
  • A:  Assisted listening devices are available at all worship services.

  • Q:  How do I join Greenfield Christian Church?
  • A:  Becoming a church member means that you have joined a dynamic community of believers, striving each day to faithfully follow Christ together.  If you want to know more about making Greenfield Christian your church home, please contact our office,  317-462-6348.
